Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

(EMDR)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy proven to help with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related challenges. As an EMDR therapist serving the San Francisco Bay Area, Denver Colorado, and New Mexico, I guide clients through gentle, structured sessions that help shift the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors shaped by past experiences.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—activating both sides of the brain—to help process memories and emotions that feel “stuck.” This reprocessing allows the brain to reorganize  neuropathways, reducing the emotional charge of traumatic memories and opening the door to healing.

By integrating somatic psychotherapy with EMDR, we can work with more than just the mind, and understanding the body’s own memory of trauma. You may not recall every detail of an event, but you might still carry sensations—sounds, smells, muscle tension—that keep the body in a state of alert. Somatic EMDR focuses on felt sense, titration, pendulation, grounding, and centering—helping you release what the body has been holding and reclaim a sense of safety and balance.

A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space for EMDR Healing

Choosing EMDR therapy is a step toward releasing what no longer serves you. In our work together, you’ll find a collaborative and caring space to process the past, restore balance, and reconnect with your true self.

  • You feel anxious or worry excessively, even about small things.

  • You struggle with isolation or difficulty connecting with others.

  • A family member’s mental illness affects your emotional well-being.

  • You often find yourself in the caregiver role in relationships.

  • You feel ready to resolve old patterns that no longer serve you.

  • You long for deeper connection—with yourself and those you love.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to schedule a consultation. Whether you’re in California, Colorado, or New Mexico, EMDR therapy can help you process the past and create space for a more grounded, connected future.
